Weilin is a visiting scholar advised by Dr. Young. He is currently working on comparing four optimization algorithms to tune three hip torque models that can be used as subject-specific hip exoskeleton controllers. The goal of his work is to provide a dynamic controller that automatically changes torque assistance with locomotion mode (various combinations of gait, speed, and grade), without user intervention or input of locomotion mode. Outside of the lab, Weilin enjoys running, surfing, racing, and water activities.
